Kedar Gauri Temple is considered to be one of the eight Ashtasambhu temples of Bhubaneshwar. This temple is known for Lord Shiva and his consort, Goddess Gauri.
This temple makes it one of the major tourist places in Bhubaneswar.
It was built by King Laltendu Kesari in the commemoration of Kedar and Gauri.
The outer walls of the temple are decorated with beautiful art sculptures.
There are also two separate ponds in the temple premises. They are believed to have sacred powers that can heal a man from the mortal cycle of life and death, while a woman can overcome infertility issues by taking a dip in these waters.
Here, couples visit the temple to pray for a blissful married life.
An event is organized in the temple, which marks the marriage of Lord Lingaraja with Parvati in the month of May.
