Prinsep Ghat is a ghat situated on the banks of the Hooghly River in Kolkata. This ghat was built in 1841 during the British Raj. In its early years, all royal British crews used the Prinsep Ghat jetty for ascents and descents.
Vidyasagar Setu is a toll bridge built over the Hooghly River. This bridge is called the Second Hooghly Bridge which connects Howrah to Kolkata City. Vidyasagar Setu is India’s first and longest cable-stayed bridge. The bridge is named after Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, who was an education reformer.
The location of both these spots will be seen at the same place.
It is a great place to spend a good time in the evening and on holidays. And there are other people who come here every day to visit in the evening.
Here you can go boating in the river near Prinsep Ghat, walk the banks of the river and buy food from the stalls.
